Don't fool yourself for a minute that Chris Christie is a Republican. There's a reason Trump never hired him to be the Attorney General. Chris Christie Not Only Looks Like a Rhino
Governor Chris Christie is often seen as a “RINO” (Republican in Name Only) or a Democrat from the conservative perspective due to his positions and actions during his tenure as the governor of New Jersey. While he is a member of the Republican Party, many conservatives have criticized him for what they perceive as a lack of commitment to conservative principles.
One of the primary reasons for this perception is Christie’s approach to fiscal policy. During his time as governor, he expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), which many conservatives vehemently opposed. This move was seen as a concession to Democratic policies and a departure from conservative principles of limited government and free-market solutions.
Furthermore, Christie’s willingness to work with Democrats on various issues, including gun control and environmental regulations, raised concerns among conservatives. They believed that he was compromising their values and making concessions to the opposing party.
Another point of contention was Christie’s stance on immigration. He supported a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, which was considered too lenient by many conservatives who advocated for stricter immigration policies.
Christie’s embrace of President Barack Obama during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in 2012 was a particularly polarizing moment. While he praised Obama’s leadership, conservatives saw it as an act of bipartisanship that undermined Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.
In the eyes of many conservatives, these actions and positions reinforced the perception that Chris Christie was not a true conservative but rather a moderate or even a Democrat in Republican clothing. His willingness to reach across the aisle and work with Democrats on key issues was seen as a betrayal of conservative principles, leading to his label as a “RINO” from the conservative perspective.
Christie has no chance of winning the 2024 Presidential Election, he’s only in there to do political damage to Fellow Candidate Donald Trump.
