Liz Cheney, daughter of that miserable bastard Dick Cheney lost her re-election badly. Liz is most likely the Republican's biggest Rhino ever asside from Mitt Romney (who by the way will lose any future election).

Liz Cheney Loses to Trump. Now She Doesn’t Have to Visit Wyoming Anymore.

In a closely watched Republican primary in Wyoming, Rep. Liz Cheney, a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, suffered a resounding defeat at the hands of Harriet Hageman, a Trump-endorsed challenger.

Cheney, a three-term congresswoman, conceded defeat after losing by a substantial 30-point margin. In her concession speech, she made references to American democracy, likening herself to Abraham Lincoln, and stressed the importance of respecting election outcomes. She also took aim at Donald Trump, whom she had voted to impeach following the January 6 Capitol riot.

Cheney attributed her loss to her refusal to support Trump’s claims of election fraud in the 2020 election. She expressed the view that no House seat is more valuable than the principles that American legislators are sworn to protect. Hinting at a potential presidential run, she called for the real work to begin.

The race results, with Cheney securing just 30% of the vote compared to Hageman’s 65%, were called by NBC, with approximately 10% of precincts reporting. Hageman, in her victory speech in Cheyenne, expressed gratitude to Trump for his support.

Cheney had received campaign donations from Democrats nationwide and was anticipated to receive some crossover votes from Wyoming Democrats in the Republican primary. Her loss was expected and makes her one of the top targets in Trump’s ongoing efforts to seek revenge against the House Republicans and Republican senators who voted for his impeachment in connection with the Capitol riot.

Trump, in response to Hageman’s victory, expressed his approval and criticized Cheney for her actions and words, describing her as spiteful and sanctimonious. He suggested that Cheney would likely “disappear into the depths of political oblivion,” a place where he believes she will be happier.

Hageman’s win, with Trump’s endorsement, is seen as a significant outcome and reflects the ongoing influence of the former president in Republican primary races.
