Dodgers Show Catholic Hate By Allowing Pride Night at Game
We need to first point out that we have nothing against the Pride community or its lifestyle, but when dozens of transsexual men grind on the Cross, expose themselves to children and openly mock the Catholic faith before a family baseball game, a line must be drawn.
In the meme created by politiphobia.com, Joe Pesci is shown standing in front of the Dodger Stadium dumbfounded as to why this grown man is dressed up like a Catholic Nun and dancing around at a baseball game. The MLB have succumbed to the pressures of woeness and hopefully they pay the ultimate price in lower game attendance.
After initially removing the group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their Pride Night event, the Los Angeles Dodgers have now extended a new invitation to the group, following a wave of criticism and backlash.
In a statement, the Los Angeles Dodgers expressed their sincere apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and their supporters. They emphasized the need for better education, strengthening the bonds with their LGBTQ+ partners, and using their platform to support all fans who contribute to the diversity of the Dodgers family. As a result, the group has been re-invited to participate in the 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night on June 16th, and they have accepted this invitation.
The controversy initially arose when the MLB team announced their intention to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, described as a group of “queer and trans nuns,” during the event. This decision was met with criticism from religious organizations due to the group’s history of anti-Catholic messaging and provocative performances.
Responding to the public outrage, the Dodgers decided to remove the group from the list of honorees for the upcoming LGBTQ event, citing the offense caused to some individuals and the desire to avoid detracting from the event’s positive impact over the years.
This decision not only sparked backlash from religious groups but also prompted LA Pride to withdraw its participation in the event.
Sen. Marco Rubio and the religious advocacy group CatholicVote were among those who criticized the Dodgers for including the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in their festivities.
The controversy involving the anti-Catholic group is part of a broader trend where prominent companies face scrutiny for affiliations with individuals known for controversial beliefs and lifestyles. Bud Light, for example, faced backlash for its collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, leading to a nationwide boycott of the brand.
